Berkhamsted Extension & Refurbishment

Frithsden Construction (South West) Ltd had the pleasure to undertake a major refurbishment and extension of a prominent established house in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.

Our team worked sympathetically with original old building materials and features – including ornate ceilings and crittle windows – whilst bringing the house into the 21st century with modern underfloor heating, double glazing, bi-fold doors etc to become a beautiful family home, admired by many.

We engaged Frithsden Construction to undertake a complete renovation and extension project for our recently purchased Edwardian property in Berkhamsted. The project ran from Juy 2011 until April 2012. Anthony and his team were responsible for delivering the project to our outline design with drawings supplied by a local firm of surveyors. Anthony and his team demonstrated a strong knowledge of all aspects of the build process, from the interaction with planning and building control, the sourcing and management of the required manpower/materials and the professional interaction with suppliers and contractors specified and appointed by ourselves. There was effective communication and good attention to detail throughout the project, including the all-important decorative finish and project completion/hand over.

Of course no project is without issues but it is the manner in which these are dealt with that is key. Anthony's knowledge and experience together with his attitude and approach when issues became challening gave us the trust and confidence to know that matters would be dealt with effectively and appropriately as they arose.
